Elance is one of the oldest freelance sites established in 1999. It has great features as notification on projects and have a customized time tracking software for projects billed by hour. As a minus is that as a free member you have only 10 bids/connects per month. To increase this number you'll have to upgrade membership. Anyhow, this is a great site and one of the best places for freelancers searching for projects.

A week ago after visiting the one of the oldest freelance sites - RentACoder.com, I've been redirected to vWorker.com. The interface of the site stays same (a bit different from other freelancer sites).

If you're looking for additional work and a ton of usefull services, including idea sharing, selling and trade, money exchange, forex, offering a digital service etc. why not looking for a forum.

Digitalpoint.com is a forum that is one of the largest on the net, offering that variety of usefull stuff

1. You'll have to add content often (at least twice a week)
2. Exchange links with other blogs
3. Submit your blog to the search engines: Yahoo, Google, MSN ...
4. Submit it to web directories
5. Post a link of your blog to forums as a signature or directly if allowed

After a month or so repeat steps 2 and 3

A few days ago, Getafreelancer.com (GAF) has a new look. Honestly, it was a time to that after a 3 years or so. Now the look is a stylish WEB 2.0 theme.
